That is why we at SSI will provide you with articles containing information and guides to the most common mental health disorders and conditions such as Schizophrenia, Depression, Insomnia and much much more.
No-one is the same, everyone is different. We all react and cope differently to different situations.
Some people may recover from a certain setback, others may feel troubled about it for much longer.
Our mental health changes all the time and at different periods in our life.
Certain people cannot avoid these mental health problems as they are genetic, however, we can do things to improve our mental health as much as possible and cure or avoid the illnesses that aren’t genetic:
- Positive thinking
- Make sure we do the things we enjoy in life
- Keep in touch with friends and loved ones
- Express our feelings when we feel down
- Ask for help when we need it
- Listen to others and respect other people
- Try and avoid or reduce the amount of addictive substances we consume such as alcohol, caffeine and nicotine
- Keep active
- Accept who you are and who others are
All these things can help us maintain a good mental health whilst therapies and medications can give us treatment, when we do suffer from a mental illness.
