Hello dear reader,
many words have been written about healthy foods which support lifetime fitness. There are so many schools of thought concerning what and when and even how to eat out there. Just in case you missed it, I would like to bring it all together in an easy fashion:
- Drink water (2-3 liter per day)
- Vary your dishes
- Foods have color (design your meals)
- Quantity must fit your calorie spending
- Organic foods are preferable
There was a time in my life, where I gained about 20 pounds. What went wrong? Look at the above! Simple! I just wasn`t eating healthy.
Concerning my lifetime fitness, my best experiences with healthy eating have been following the above mentioned 5 Steps.
Vary your dishes - use different special recipes
The meal which has the most variety and the most special recipes are used is commonly the warm meal at dinner or lunch. Typically breakfast is mostly the same (except saturdays and sundays perhaps). If you take bread in the morning, it will be most likely to made of the same kind of wheat.
Varying to me would mean to vary the kind of wheat for instance:
- Wheat
- Corn
- Rice
- and so on
This takes the idea of variation to the next level.
