Alpha Waves for Creative Activity
For activity to be creative a higher amount of Alpha Waves are mostly present.
There is some evidence that to be creative, one does need alpha wave rhythms to occur. The reason is that during alpha wave activity, the brain is quiet and has none of the complex chatter which can be confusing for clear thought. Child prodigies have often been found to have predominance of alpha waves.
Many people in the field of science, arts, musicians, and physicians have a dominance of alpha waves. Work done in the laboratory has revealed that when alpha waves are increased, the individual does show improved thinking, is more creative, and not prone to upset emotions.
Further, in the laboratory, when alpha waves are increased, individuals do tend to solve problems a lot faster than individuals with low alpha waves activity.
